NYISAW Tree Walk
RAIN OR SHINE
Date: Thursday, June 6th, 2024
Time: 6 PM-7 PM 
Location: Meet in front of City Hall on Washington Street in Downtown Watertown  

In observance of New York Invasive Species Awareness Week (NYISAW), a tree walk will be held in downtown Watertown. The event will begin promptly at 6 PM in front of City Hall on Washington Street followed by a guided walk and talk through the city's Urban Arboretum and the beautiful garden at the Historical Society. The arboretum has over 35 different species of trees and is located between Sterling and Stone Street one block south of Public Square. By joining the walk, you will learn about the history of the Arboretum and the trees that make it special, along with invasive pests that threaten the health of the trees and be invited to adopt a to monitor for signs of health decline.

This event is hosted by the City of Watertown's Tree Committee in collaboration with the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation, and SLELO PRISM.
