Part I: Supervisor Information

Part II: Practicum Description

Provide a summary of the project(s) or task(s) you would like completed this semester by a Mass Communication practicum student, and indicate if the work can be completed remotely.

List 1 or 2 goals and ideal outcomes so students get an idea of the scope of your project(s). For example, if the project involves video work indicate how many and how long the videos will need to be.

Provide a list of the skills a student needs to complete this practicum. It's best to note if skills are REQUIRED or DESIRED.

Be sure to include any critical software programs required, as well as general skills such as writing, design, video editing, etc.

Are there any additional requirements or important information?

For example, do you need a student who can manage their time in order to work independently, a student with a particular time slot available, etc?

Please be advised students will commit 45 hours to this practicum. Therefore, it is important the project scopes can be completed in that timeframe. You are more than welcome to request 2 practicum students.

Please note:

Mass Comm Practicum (MSCM 2930) is a 1.0 credit hour course. Please remember that practicum students are NOT student workers or interns, and the time commitment required must not be excessive. Practicum students must complete 45 hours over the course of the semester. Hours may be divided equally each week during the semester, or may be more concentrated as the project requires.
