2022 CUSD Middle School Honor Concert Audition Submission Form - Honor Band
We are so glad you are auditioning for the CUSD middle school district wide honor band!  

Capistrano Valley High School  
Saturday, March 19th  

The honor concert will be part of the CUSD Visual and Performing Arts Festival and Honor Concerts celebrating arts education and showcasing talented CUSD student musicians and visual performing artists districtwide. This event will be professionally produced, outdoors, and family friendly!

Ticket information will be available online by the first rehearsal.

 Mandatory rehearsals are scheduled Wednesdays from 6-8 PM at
 Niguel Hills Middle School
 29070 Shark Bay
 Laguna Niguel

February 23   6:00-8:00 PM
March 2          6:00-8:00 PM
March 9          6:00-8:00 PM
March 16        6:00-8:00 PM

NOTE: Honor band rehearsals will be outside.

There is a dress rehearsal scheduled at Capistrano Valley High School the morning of March 19th. Expected concert start time is 12:00 PM

Make sure you can attend every rehearsal and the concert before submitting your audition video.

Audition Requirements:
Submit a Video Recording of the following Required Scales & Excerpt found in the link below.
 
Students should share a video from their CUSD Google Drive for submission. Make sure it is shared and viewable by anyone in CUSD.

Please follow the following procedure while recording the Video.
1. State your name, age, year in school, where you attend.
2. Perform the required scales.
3. Perform chromatic scale (optional)
4. Perform audition excerpts, in order as outlined in the audition information below.
This Application is DUE February 11, 2022 at midnight

3. OPTIONAL: Chromatic Scale as much as possible
4. Required: Excerpt Darklands March mm 43-76

We anticipate notification of students selected on February 16.
