2019 Farm Fresh for Health Mini-Grant Farmers Market Application

ASAP, through funding from the Community Foundation of Western North Carolina, is providing mini-grants (up to $200 per market) for farmers markets to develop and conduct wellness engagement activities to promote their markets, bring in new customers, build connections with community partners, and offer positive experiences with fresh local food. Applications are approved on a rolling basis, and are available until funds run out. Applications will be selected based upon strength and ingenuity of project.

In addition to mini-grant funding, ASAP also offers a variety of resources and promotional materials for farmers markets including templates to create recipe cards/cooking tips or press releases. Note: As funding is provided by the Community Foundation of Western North Carolina, only farmers markets located within their 18 county service region are eligible for grant funding. All counties in the map below are eligible for funding.

If selected for FF4H funding, I understand that awarded funds will be provided in two installments, an initial 50% award, and a 50% reimbursement following project completion. I understand I have 90 days following project approval to complete my approved project and to provide all receipts associated with project costs to ASAP for reimbursement. Additionally I will provide ASAP with a high quality sample, copy, photograph or digital image of funded activities/materials.
