The virtual experience: Understanding how digital environments impact us'-  Ms. Joanne Carroll,  March 6th
A special lecture has been organised for Friday, March 6th by Psychology Researcher,  Ms. Joanne Carroll who will discuss the impact virtual and augmented reality can have on our senses and our minds.

Virtual reality is an artificial environment that is created with software and presented to the user in such a way that the user suspends belief and accepts it as a real environment. On a computer, virtual reality is primarily experienced through two of the five senses: sight and sound. Some of the more practical uses include pilot training, medical applications, cinema experiences, military training, motor training and museums - promoting interactive experiences.  Joanne has completed some fascinating research into this area.

The lecture will take place in CG01 - Henry Grattan building Room 5 (Glasnevin Campus)  at 10.00am on Friday, March 6th - all welcome.
