Thank you for your interest in participating in the 2022 NUTCRACKER!
This year's performance will be held at Capistrano Valley High School on December 10 & 11.

Repertory Ballet San Clemente, RBSC, will be holding this year’s Nutcracker Ballet Auditions at the studio on Saturday, August 06, at the times listed below.  Any and all dancers encouraged to audition!  If in doubt, please speak with Mr. Michael  as to which times to audition for.

11:30 - 12:15pm 8-10 years (no Pointe) Gingersnaps, Party Guests, Soldiers
12:15 - 1:00pm 11 & up (No pointe) Tumblers, Character Dancers, Russian, Ginger Snaps, etc.
1:00 - 2:00pm 10-12 (Pointe required) Party Girl, Best Friend, Background Chinese

2:00 - 8:00pm - ADVANCED LEVEL DANCERS  - POINTE REQUIRED

2:00 - 3:00 Clara
3:00 - 4:00 Arabian, Harlequin, Kissing Doll, Mouse Queen, Nutcracker Soldier

Act 2 Roles
4:00 - 5:30  Spanish, Candy Cane, Chinese Lead, Mirliton
5:45 - 6:15  Dew Drop, Cavalier
6:15 - 6:45  Arabian, both Leads
6:45 - 8:00 Snow Queen, Sugar Plum, Snow King, Prince

Nutcracker Audition Notice:

All dancers 12 years and under wishing to audition for roles requiring pointe work must maintain the following minimal ballet training schedule in order to be eligible for such roles. We ask this for safety reasons and to ensure dancers can meet the technical requirements of their part in the production.

SCDPAC Students: Minimum 2 Ballet Tech Classes/2 pointe classes

Outside Performers; Minimum 1 pointe class at SCDPAC so you are evaluated weekly as to your pointe strength, proof of at least 1 pointe class elsewhere and proof of at least two ballet tech classes.1 hour weekly ballet private can substitute for a tech class.

Dress Code:  
Girls/Women: Traditional Ballet Attire, Black Leotard, Pink Tights, Pink Ballet Shoes, Ballet Bun (nothing high)
Boys/Men: Black Tights, Black Shoes, White T-shirt
Character Roles: Safe Dance Attire and Footwear for Tumbling

Audition Fee:  $10 cash or charge (Paid on or before Audition Date)
