Thank you for your interest in applying for the 2024-2025 Ob/Gyn Interest Group Executive Board! Everyone will work as a team, but below are some responsibilities specific to each position.
Co-President (2): oversees all e-board positions, plans and leads e-board meetings, serves as the main point of contact for students, attends SG meetings, ensures that all events are well planned, and assists as needed. Helps coordinate joint events with other interest groups. Coordinates fundraising and event reimbursement approvals with SG.
Shadowing Coordinator: coordinates shadowing opportunities with attendings, maintains the shadowing schedule.
Research Coordinator: TWO YEAR POSITION. Serves as a liaison between students and residents/physicians for research opportunities, point of contact for questions regarding research. This position is a two year position, please keep this in mind when applying. For questions, reach out to current Research Coordinator Alexia Barrios.
Communications Coordinator: responsible for creating flyers and social media materials, scheduling events on the SG calendar, adding events and announcements to the Teams page, running the Ob/Gyn IG Instagram page and "website".
Sexual Health Conference Chair: responsible for leading and running the annual "Sexual Health Conference." Will work closely with presidents and events team to coordinate this event, and is encouraged to work with other campus organizations and faculty.
Events Team Leader: Leads and coordinates the execution of events planned by event team members, while also acting as the third event team member. Submits E&F forms for all events (thus also functioning as Treasurer).
Events Team Member (2): Focus on planning one or two of the numerous talks, workshops, and panels throughout the year. Members are encouraged to work with other on-campus reproductive advocacy groups (RHA, MSFC) and community orgs (Camillus House, women's shelters, etc), putting on programs relevant to reproductive health.
Racism in Obstetrics Curriculum Chairs (2): Rising MS3s preferred but not required. Coordinates and implements Racism in Obstetrics Curriculum in partnership with the Transitions to Clerkships Bootcamp and each Women & Children’s Clerkship. Recruit and train student facilitators, seek feedback and revise sessions, and process data from pretest/posttest surveys
