Please be considerate about applying for the scholarship.
If you apply for a scholarship you don't need, it may take funds from other participants who could not attend an HYC/HSC/HVC program any other way. Scholarships are not a discount and are not available to just anyone. We review each application carefully. To be considered, your application must demonstrate genuine financial constraints that fundraising cannot overcome. In some cases, you may be able to offer a unique skill not available in the HVC program.
Priority to scholarships are given to first-time scholarship applicants.
To consider your application, the applicant must complete the application form, and a ministry leader must submit a recommendation form. Scholarships for HVC are designated for teens, students, and singles but are not guaranteed to cover all the fees for HVC. If you are awarded a scholarship, your award will only be credited towards your participation fee. If the awarded scholarship amount is less than the site fee, scholarship recipients are responsible for the remainder of the HVC fees. Awarded scholarships cannot be used for flights, travel expenses, visa costs, etc.
Deadline
Scholarship applications should be received at least two months before the start of your HYC/HSC/HVC program. We reserve the right to make exceptions to this deadline in the case of extenuating circumstances.
