2022-23 Application for Dual-Enrollment Tuition Assistance
One of the Suffolk Education Foundation (SEF) objectives is to provide tuition assistance to students taking Dual Enrollment (DE) classes. Please verify that you meet all criteria prior to applying.

Eligibility – The applicant shall be a public high school student in the City of Suffolk who:
* is a rising junior or senior
* has demonstrated excellence in academic studies
* will be taking at least one dual-enrollment course during the 2022-2023 school year
* demonstrates financial need

Each student selected will be eligible for SEF-funded tuition assistance for up to three (3) dual-enrollment (DE) classes taken at the high school during the 2022-2023 school year. The award is a grant and not a loan. Notification of awards will be made by August 1, 2022. The award will be paid directly to the students' high school at the beginning of each semester. Unless otherwise noted in the award notification, the student selected for funding for the first semester will automatically be eligible for like funding for the second semester as long as he or she maintains a minimum of a "C" average in the funded dual credit class(es).

HADDAD SCHOLARSHIP
This application will also screen eligible candidates for the $1,500 Louis & Mary Haddad Foundation scholarship for college tuition earned during high school. Consideration will be given to high school students enrolled in Math and/or Science Dual Enrollment (DE) classes in 2022-2023 taught at either the high school or online by a community college. Eligible applicants should be planning post-secondary study in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or Health (STEM-H) with career plans in those areas.
