Help PesaCheck fact-check dodgy claims on WhatsApp
Misinformation can kill. The global tsunami of misleading information about #Covid19 on WhatsApp and other social media is endangering ordinary people. PesaCheck is therefore launching a dedicated WhatsApp line so that East Africans can check whether a meme/claim they've see has been debunked as misinfo, and if not so that our team of fact-checkers across the region can help verify the info.

But, we need your help. We need to get word out about the campaign.

Are you part of a WhatsApp group that sees a lot of posts that you suspect might be misinfo? Or, are you part of a group that would be keen to proactively share debunks with its members, to help myth-bust fake news before it can do damage?

If so, add your group details to this form, and we'll get in touch to see how we can make your group a part of the PesaCheck WhatsApp network.
