The Connection newsletter is a major source of information about what's happening within the UVJC. Published quarterly, it costs between $2,500-$3,000 each year. We have reduced expenses by negotiating better deals with contractors and using bulk mailing instead of first-class mail, but increased mailing costs are beyond our control. We would reduce our expenses significantly if we distributed some electronically while continuing to send hard copies to those who prefer that. In addition, moving to a predominantly electronic distribution would be more environmentally sound.
