for the May Stream School with The Watershed Institute to become certified in Macroinvertebrates habitat bioassessment in order to monitor the Paulins Kill Watershed. Volunteers will be responsible for monitoring a section of the PK and will be eligible to lead educational opportunities, if interested.
In order to become certified, volunteers must be available for the May Stream School on the following dates:
May 3: virtual, 6-8pm
May 4: virtual, 6-8pm
May 5: virtual, 6-8pm
May 6: in person stream training at Little Nishisackawick Creek in Frenchtown, 9:30-4pm
May 20: in person stream training at Little Nishisackawick Creek in Frenchtown, 9:30-4pm
Some exceptions/accommodations MAY be possible to be made - if you are interested, but may not be able to make one of the above sessions, please reach out to ChrisDunbar@FoodshedAlliance.org.
The accreditation lasts for 3 years, and is free for participants.
We would do our 1st sampling together in the Fall and once or twice a year thereafter.
