AOASM 2023: Call for Research Presentations
The Program Committee of the 38th Annual Clinical Conference of the American Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine invites you to submit research papers for presentation for the 2023 AOASM Clinical Conference scheduled for April 26-29, 2023. This Google Form will serve as your research abstract submission form.

All research abstracts must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. PT on Tuesday, January 31, 2023. Submissions received after this deadline will not be accepted.

A monetary award will be given to the best research podium presentation. To be considered, the research abstract must state the objectives of the study, the materials and methods, the results, conclusions, and the significance of the findings. Research abstracts containing phrases such as "the results and conclusions will be presented" will not be considered. Abstract submission must be limited to a maximum of 500 words, excluding title.

Please note that an author's name may appear on a total of two (2) papers only.

Example:
1) Primary author of one (1) paper and co-author on one (1) paper

2) Co-author of two (2) papers

The research abstract must not have been published as an abstract or as a full paper in a scientific, medical, or professional publication prior to presentation at the AOASM Clinical Conference. Additionally, it may not have been previously presented at another professional conference.

All research abstract submissions will be blinded in regard to authors' names and affiliated institutions prior to initial review by the Research Review Committee. At this time, we only accept submissions from anyone currently in, or having previously completed, post-graduate school.

Research abstracts will be either presented as a podium presentation at the research symposium or as a poster presentation. By submitting your research project, you agree to present it in the format chosen by the Research Review Committee. Research abstracts selected for podium presentation will be required to submit their PowerPoint presentation in mid-March 2023.

Each accepted podium presentation will be approximately 12 minutes. Time allotment for podium presentation is subject to change. The primary author will be notified in late February of the Review Committee's decision on format if submission is selected to be presented at this year's conference. Any additional instructions for PowerPoint presentations and poster presentations will be given at that time. The Review Committee reserves the right to reject research submissions that are not relevant to our conference or do not conform to requested guidelines.

Note: monetary awards for podium and poster presentation winners will only be given to students, residents, and fellows. Attendings are still welcome and encouraged to submit for presentation
