Qualification for Admission (must meet one or more of the following criteria):
- Qualifies for free meals under the National School Lunch Program
- Custodial parent is unmarried on the first day of school
- Kansas Department for Children and Families (DCF) referral
- At least one parent was a teenager when the student was born
- At least one parent is lacking a high school diploma or GED on the first day of school
- Limited English proficiency (the student must qualify for ESOL services)
- Lower than expected developmental progress from a child school screening
- Migrant status copy of certificate of eligibility on file
- Child experiencing homelessness
EnrollmentThe following documents will be required before your student is enrolled into any USD 204 preschool program, and they must be provided before the first day of preschool. Copies are not accepted.
- Identity of Student (original birth certificate or passport)
- Health/Immunization Records (students cannot start school without immunizations and a doctor's physical exam record on file)
- Proof of Residency (a recent utility bill - electric, gas or water)
- Parent/Guardian Kansas driver's license/ID or government-issued photo ID
- IPT (ELL Proficiency Test - to be done at school and for English Language Learners only)
