Ada Christian/St. Robert School Transportation Request 2023/24
Forest Hills Public Schools Transportation offers this service in conjunction with our Ada Vista Spanish Immersion program. Several years ago we implemented a new transportation plan for the students at Ada Vista. This district-wide program offers unique transportation challenges that require unique solutions.

We have two (2) basic models for transportation:

1) Students can ride the bus from an existing neighborhood HS/MS bus stop. When they arrive at the HS campus, they are directed to a shuttle bus that will transport them directly to Ada Christian (AC) and St. Robert (SR) Schools, en route to Ada Vista.

2) AM Regional Service – Parents can transport their student(s) to one of the HS/MS campuses, and put them directly onto a shuttle bus that will transport them to the AC and SR schools.

In the afternoon, the transportation options are similar but utilize elementary school bus stops:

1) PM Neighborhood Service – Students can ride a shuttle bus from AC or SR to one of our FHPS elementary schools. When they arrive at the elementary school, they will transfer to a bus that will transport them to an existing elementary school bus stop in their neighborhood.

2) PM Regional Service – Students can ride a shuttle bus from AC or SR to one of our FHPS elementary schools. When they arrive at the elementary school, they will need either parent/guardian pickup, written permission (on file at Transportation) to walk home or daycare contracted at the building.

Please note; there are a few caveats that go along with this service:

1) Neighborhood busing utilizes existing HS/MS (AM) and elementary (PM) bus stops.

2) The choice of elementary schools will be based on attendance area and space available. Example: If you live within the Collins Elementary attendance area, your student may be put on a Northern Trails bus which services the same area.

3) Busing is based on bus stop requests and as a result, changes to your student’s transportation request after routing has been established will be on a space available basis.

Below is a transportation request form. Please complete and submit this form to the Forest Hills Public Schools Transportation Department no later than Thursday, June 15, 2023.

Requests received after that date may not be processed until after the second week of school and only on a space available, first come, first served basis. If you are requesting transportation services, please only select the options (one for morning, one for afternoon) that you are likely to use on a regular basis.

Should an emergency arise or your transportation needs change, please call the Transportation Office at (616) 493-8785 and we can make accommodations to assist you.

Thank you,

FHPS Transportation Team
