Trinity Episcopal Church invites children PK3 to 5th grade to enter into a deeper and more playful relationship with God. The children meet during the "Sunday school hour" from 10:30 to 11:15. Classes are organized by grade. After class, the children are led by their respective Godly Play mentors to join their families for communion. Sometimes we're a little late.
About Godly Play (not your typical sunday school)
The
Godly Play® method is a curriculum of spiritual practice exploring the mystery of God’s presence in our lives and builds upon a Montessori foundation that has been extensively researched and practiced for over 40 years. At its core, Godly Play emphasizes the importance of process, openness, discovery, community, and relationships and models the worship life, stories, symbols, and rituals of our Christian faith. Consistency is key. If you feel called to serve in the Godly Play ministry, please contact Ashley Bond at abond@trinitynola.com.
About Trinity's Church Nursery
Trinity's nursery serves our youngest members (Infant - 3yrs) and is available from
9:00 AM - 12:00 PM September thru May. During our summer months (June-August), the nursery is available during the 10:30 AM Sunday service. The nursery is also available during special church events and classes, as needed. To inquire if the nursery is available for a particular event, contact Ashley Bond at
abond@trinitynola.com.
The nursery is located in the undercroft across from Trinity Treasures Gift Shop. Please use this form to register for Sunday morning nursery care. Childcare for Big Kids coming soon... and can be available with advanced notice if not already scheduled.
Godly Play, Nursery and Big-Kid Care is underwritten by the pledging members of our Trinity Church community, without whom we would not be able to pay our nursery staff and High School Nursery Ministry team competitive wages, support the extensive training of our Godly Play mentors, and create beautiful, sacred Godly Play classrooms for our children. Your gift supports the life and ministry of this church.
Safeguarding God's Children
The obligation to seek and serve Christ in all persons and to respect the dignity of every human being is
binding for all the baptized. Accordingly, Trinity Episcopal Church leaders who serve our children, youth and families are
Safe Church Certified every three years.
Guild of the Christ Child (GOTCC)
This is a ministry that supports expectant families through prayer. If you are expecting a child whether through birth, adoption, foster care, or other, please email
Maria Elliott, Pastoral Care Director.

Let's Do Life Together!
At the end of this registration, you will find opportunities to offer your gift of time, talent, or treasure. There are so many ways to get involved, make awesome friends, become part of an amazing community, feel supported through this messy thing we call life/parenting, and as a new church friend of mine always says, "Do life together!" Many hands make light work. So let's get to work and do what we are called to do: build the Kingdom of God... together.
