OPIRG McMaster can help you make an impact in meaningful ways. Before you get started on this form, let's make sure you're applying to the most appropriate place for you in our support network.
1) Public Interest Projects (PIPs): PIPs allow McMaster undergraduates to address practical issues at the grassroots level, with funding up to $1,000 and additional support available on a case-by-case basis. These projects may take various forms, but overall will aim for tangible and visible action, going a step further than raising awareness. With the ongoing pandemic, we understand if PIPs cannot run in-person, tangible programming as has been expected in past years. As such, your PIP can take on research/advocacy initiatives and raise awareness online (film screenings, webinars, training sessions, etc.) if this is a more feasible way to engage with students online.
2) Applications for Support: If you do not meet eligibility requirements for a Public Interest Projects, please fill out an "Application for Support" form (
https://www.opirgmcmaster.org/support/) instead, so that OPIRG can consider other ways to support you.
Now that you've confirmed you are eligible to apply to become a Public Interest Project, please fill out the form below, so that we can find the best way to work together.
