Wellness Committee Co-Chair
+ Plan and lead monthly meetings with SV staff, committee members and parents to discuss healthy initiatives at SV.
+ Copy and send out communications to families in Friday Folders regarding: healthy school snacks, Celebrating Birthday’s at SV, Celebrating Valentine’s Day at SV
+ Plan/Lead 2-3 Family Fun Nights focused on getting movement/exercise in fun ways with other SV families.
+ Past events/suggestions for events include: Zumba Night, Yoga Night or Karate Night
+ Collaborate with Mr. Schwartz and Mr. Sheskey to submit to compile data on SV policies and Healthy initiatives to submit for the WI School Health Award and Alliance for a Healthy Generation Award
+ Plan/lead other fun healthy initiatives at SV that include but are not limited to: Healthy Habits Bingo, Walk During Recess Weeks, Eat a Rainbow Week
+ Communications to families about Wellness Events on FB+ Work with Chairs of other events to ensure food being served at SV events follows the Smart Snack Guidelines
Walk-a-thon Co-Chair
+ Decide on theme, Fundraising Goals/Prize levels with co-chairs, Mr. Schwartz and Mr. Sheskey
+ Create and copy fundraiser packets and Spirit Week flyer to send home in Friday Folders
+ Decorate school bulletin board with theme materials and update board with totals as often as possible once fundraising starts coming in
+ Work with office staff to plan Spirit Week, and plan events associated with the Walk-a-thon around the District/SV calendar
+ Count, log and track funds coming in as often as possible to keep SV community updated on totals, and place names of students reaching goals in prominent places in the school
+ Create a Sign-up Genius for volunteers. Post on FB and send to teachers of the grade assigned to the event
+ Post all documents on FB and create posts on FB as often as needed to let community know about fundraising progress
Glow Dance Co-Chair
+ Committee Chairs discuss decorations, new ideas, review committee "check-list" and continue to collaborate leading up to dance
+ Committee Chairs are responsible for ordering glow items, coordinating volunteers, coordinating food to sell during dance, creating the pre-order form (distribute, collect, and fulfill), creating necessary signage, setting up/cleaning up the day of the dance
+ Committee Chairs are responsible for designing gym decorations, coordinating with teachers on student decorating involvement, coordinating with custodial staff, and setting up/cleaning up the day of the dance
Grandparent's Day Co-Chair
+ Coordinate reservations for extra furniture, food service items, and transportation.
+ Preparing flyers to go home with students in Friday folders and Create FB post regarding schedule of days events.
+ Setting up a Signup Genius for food donations.
+ Setting up the evening prior.
+ Coordinating event volunteers
+ Break down tables and chairs in time for the Friday lunch crowd. Clean up.
Spring Fundraiser Co-Chair
+ Lead a subcommittee of PTO members to brainstorm ideas for a Spring Fundraiser late Summer
+ Set fundraising goal and participation goal.
+ Create a timeline of events and communication that need to happen
+ Delegate tasks to volunteers (parents, staff, community members)
+ Communicate in all available channels the details and goal of the fundraiser.
+ Oversee the functions of the planning leading up to and during the fundraiser.
