Community Outreach Grant 2024

The PHCOC will sponsor eight(8) awards of up to $500 to individuals or groups to plan a community outreach project or event in their local area. The project/event does not have to be veterinary-related, but it must facilitate involvement between veterinary students and the community. Funding cannot be used towards travel or alcohol. 

In order to be eligible for the grant, the recipient must be a SAVMA member in good standing attending an accredited school or college of veterinary medicine. A successful applicant will create a unique project or event that demonstrates a commitment to helping their local community. They will encourage their peers to participate, while building a relationship between their veterinary college and their community. 

Applicants can apply retroactively for a program occurring within the past year (March 2023 - March 2024) or prospectively for an upcoming program within a 1-year period (March 2024 - March 2025). Applications will close June 12, 2024 at 12:00am.
