Quantum Victoria is committed to building the capacity of Primary and Secondary Science, Maths and STEM/STEAM Teachers.
We are holding the following workshop series online Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3:30pm - 4:30pm in weeks 3 and 4 of term 2.
Programming and App Creation
These workshops will upskill Primary and Secondary teachers in basic programming concepts and block programming. Teachers will have a deeper understanding of how to incorporate app development authentically into their teaching practice. The Programming and App Creation Teacher Professional Learning workshop is designed for Primary and Secondary Teachers of all disciplines. Teachers attending this workshop will discover how easily Apps can be created and used as a teaching tool to enhance teaching and learning.
No prior experience in App creation is required.
3D Printing and Modelling
Teachers can choose between using Tinkercad or Fusion 360. No prior 3D modeling/printing experience is required.
- Tinkercad option:
These workshops develop teachers' basic and intermediate skills in 3D modeling with Tinkercad, setting up Tinkercad classrooms, and developing their knowledge of slicing, print considerations, and troubleshooting. The final workshop will discuss project possibilities and how you might make that happen at school.
- Fusion 360 option:
These workshops develop teachers' basic and intermediate skills in 3D modeling with Fusion 360. They will get advice on setting up Autodesk accounts for students, and developing their knowledge of slicing, print considerations, and troubleshooting. The final workshop will discuss project possibilities and how you might make that happen at school.
