2023 Theater Camp

Theater Camp Registration, Parental Waiver and Consent Form

Keep the drama on the stage this summer and join us at theater camp! This is a safe, fun way for incoming 4th - 9th grade students to explore acting for the first time or for students with stage experience to expand their acting skills. Sponsored by MTMS play directors, Mrs. E & Mrs. O, campers will learn acting skills and experience all aspects of being involved in a play!

Space is limited to 25 campers per session.

Mill Valley Little Theater June
Session 1: 9:00AM - 10:20AM (Incoming 4th - 8th graders)
Session 2: 10:40AM - 12:00PM (Incoming 6th - 9th graders)

Session 3: 12:40PM - 2:00PM (Incoming 4th - 8th graders)

During camp, students will:
Learn basic stage acting skills
Play improvisation and memorization games
Practice voice projection
Experiment with facial expression, body language, and vocal expression techniques
Learn best practices for play auditions

Perform on stage in front of an audience

Work as a crew member for a live performance (Thursday & Friday)

Get a really cool t-shirt!

Camp Schedule:

Monday: Icebreakers, Games, Auditions, Scripts, Casting

Tuesday: Read-through script, blocking, rehearsal, costumes & props

Wednesday: Rehearsal, set design, crew assignments

Thursday: ALL CAMPERS REPORT TO TWO SESSIONS. Dress rehearsals as cast and crew member.

Friday: ALL CAMPERS REPORT TO TWO SESSIONS. Final dress rehearsal. Doors open last 40 minutes for audience seating, performance final 30 minutes of sessions.

Materials: $25 (Due 4/30/23)

Tuition: $100 (Due 5/30/23)

Checks or cash payments may be mailed to Monticello Trails or walked in to Mrs. Oliver in the library.

In consideration of your acceptance of this application, I hereby release Stage360, Monticello Trails Middle School, and the De Soto School Board of USD 232 and all of its employees from all claims on account of injuries which may be sustained by my son/daughter while attending Stage360 Theater Camp, any rehearsals, and I agree to indemnify Stage360, MTMS and the De Soto School Board of USD 232 and all of its employees for any claim which may hereafter be presented by my minor son/daughter of any such injuries.

In addition to giving full consent for my child’s participation I do hereby waive, release, and hold harmless the organization named above, it’s officers, directors, sponsors, supervisors, and representatives for any injury that may be suffered by my child in the normal course of participation in the activity incidental thereto, the result of negligence or any other cause.I represent that I am a parent/legal guardian of the child named above, and I agree that the terms of this release are binding on the child and me.
