Renaissance Robotics Team Signups (Grades 9th-12th)
Please complete this form to sign up for the the 2024-2025 FIRST Robotics Team at Athens Renaissance School. High school students in Athens City Schools are invited to apply.

Typically, our schedule is lighter in the fall and heavy in the spring. We will meet regularly throughout the year, and we have periodic outreach/fundraising events, field trips, and meetings with sponsors as well that are and will be scheduled throughout the year. We find out the new robot game/challenge in early January 2025. After that release, we will meeting 3-5 days per week to ensure that we have the time needed to design, build, program, and test our robot before we compete in March and April. We do not at all expect all students to attend every single meeting. It's not feasible or sustainable. We will offer a lot of meeting opportunities to get the students ample time to work, but students are just expected to be there when they can. Also, there are several team projects that can be completed remotely throughout the year.

We will compete in the Rocket City Regional in Huntsville in the spring. In addition, we hope to compete in an additional Regional somewhere in the southeast in the spring. We could possibly get invited to the World Championship in late April as well.
