Drama Rehearsal and Production
Hello Parents!
We wanted to send out an update regarding drama practice for both elementary and secondary students. We know that there may be some concerns due to COVID so we wanted to let you know of the precautions we will be taking during practice and performance.
When the students come to practice they will be seated socially distanced and with masks. During all our practices we will keep the masks on. When the students are on the stage working on their scene they will not be socially distanced but they will still be wearing their masks. When we get to production we will need to remove masks for the dress rehearsal as well as the performance.
Up to this point, we have made provisions for students who did not want to come on campus to be able to practice their songs at home and send a recording to Mrs. Loewen. However, we now need a firm decision from parents and students if you will be coming to on-campus practices or will pull out of drama for this production. Because we are getting closer to our production date we need all the people involved in that scene to be available for on-campus practices. This will now include our elementary students.
Because of COVID and our lack of being able to have as many practices as we normally would in a school year, we are moving our production back to the middle of April. We will send out the date as soon as it has been finalized. We hope to be able to perform it live but we are working on a number of options to be able to present the show to our community in a safe way.
Please know that we love your children and their safety will be a top priority while we are rehearsing. We cannot wait for the day that we can return to our normal schedules.
If you could reply to either Ms. LaMertha or Mrs. Loewen with your decision by Monday, January 25 we would greatly appreciate it.
