Hyett Education Activity Instructor Job Application Form
Hyett Education are recruiting Activity Instructors to support and lead Tech Tigers After-School Clubs and Holiday Clubs in Wolverhampton, South Staffordshire and Telford & Wrekin.

We are looking for enthusiastic, outgoing individuals who are passionate about working to provide stimulating educational experiences for children aged 5-13 years old.

Hours & Pay:

The role is for a fixed term contract, renewed on a termly basis. Those applying for a role in the after-school clubs must be available 2-5 afternoons per week during term-time from September 2019. Those applying for a role in the holiday clubs must be available 2-5 days per week during school holidays.

The role also has the potential to be expanded into a part-time or full-time position at a later date.

Pay ranges from £8.50/hr to £20/hr for after-school clubs and from £8.50/hr to £12/hr for holiday clubs. Pay across both roles is based on experience, training, qualifications and level of responsibility undertaken.

Holiday Club hours are generally 8.15am-5.45pm. After-School Club hours are generally 60-90 mins/session between 3pm-5pm with 30 mins available for preparation. There may also be additional hours offered to support the delivery of workshops in schools in term time and to support the promotion of the business by generating new sales leads.

A programme of training will be provided before candidates take responsibility for leading their own sessions.

Who is our ideal candidate?

The ideal candidate will have a good level of ICT knowledge with Laptop's & iPads. They should have the aptitude for learning the following: - Scratch Coding, SketchUp 3D Design, Stop-Motion Animation, Digital Music Production, LEGO Robotics and Coding, Green-Screen and Film-Making and Minecraft Education.

They will be responsible and reliable, punctual, presentable, and personable. They will be able to build positive relationships with children, their parents, school staff and Hyett Education colleagues. They will be able to offer exemplary customer service, and have the drive to constantly reflect upon and improve the service they are delivering.

Essential requirements:

- A clear Enhanced DBS. Applicants without a clear Enhanced DBS when checked will be rejected.
- A valid UK driving license with access to your own vehicle, capable of carrying tech equipment to and from sessions.

Desirable training, qualifications and experience:

- Paediatric Emergency First Aid
- Safeguarding/Child Protection
- Qualified Teacher or Trainee Teacher/Teaching Assistant/HLTA/Childminder/Activity Instructor
- Experience working with children
