This interactive workshop will to help teachers support the needs of all math learners and help them meet high expectations in K-5 classrooms. Participants will learn how to use flexible grouping, workstations, and resources to address diverse student needs and to create a numeracy-rich environment.
Specifically, participants will:
·Develop an understanding of guided math as a practice to support differentiation, assessment, instruction, and learning in the classroom.
·Identify powerful strategies to develop number sense and conceptual understanding of math concepts.
·Investigate effective models to implement guided math in order to maximize instructional time.
·Explore authentic application of mathematical concepts.
