Introductory Importation and Customs Clearance Course

Dear Participants,

Thank you for your interest in the Introductory Importation and Customs Clearance course. This course is fully online, self paced, and offered in English via HELP Logistics' online learning platform.

This course aims to increase formal training opportunities for humanitarian partners in order to develop  their knowledge, skills and understanding of the importation and customs processes for the cross-border movement of emergency relief aid.

Please note that the course is provided to the humanitarian community by the IMPACCT Working Group on a pro-bono basis, currently in English and is available in French and Spanish.

Targeted Audience: 
Practitioners in UN agencies, NGOs, governmental agencies, and private sector who are involved in the importation of humanitarian goods in the countries where their organization operates

Course content:
The course consists of five modules, all of which are intended to equip you with the minimum skills required to handle the difficulties involved with importing and clearing humanitarian aid into affected countries. The modules are:
  1. Customs and Importation in the Humanitarian Context
  2. Coordinated Border Management
  3. The Real Costs for the Importation of Humanitarian Relief Goods
  4. Document and Information Quality
  5. Modernization of Customs Systems
