Solomon Fellowship Committee: Call for student self-nominations
The Solomon Fellowship Committee invites self-nominations from Film and Visual Studies PhD candidates and current AFVS Sophomores (or joint concentrators) to fill two seats on the selection and host committee for AY 21-22. One graduate student and one undergraduate student will be randomly selected from the pool of self-nominees to serve on the Committee, joining faculty members in fielding nominations for potential Fellows, sending invitations, and hosting Fellows remotely in the Spring of 2022. Students who join the Committee will have the unique opportunity to work closely with faculty and Fellows around urgent questions in contemporary practice.

The Solomon Fellowship invites artists, filmmakers, and critics with strong visions and voices, embedding them into the life of the Department of Art, Film, and Visual Studies. Fellows interact with students and faculty through class visits, workshops, and a public presentation, deepening the impact of visiting artists through student engagement.
