Community Input on Upcoming Santa Barbara Unified School District Transition to By-Trustee-Area Elections // Contribución de la Comunidad Sobre la Próxima Transición del Distrito Escolar Unificado de Santa Bárbara a Elecciones por área de Fideicomisarios
Dear SBUSD community,
 
The SBUSD is currently switching to a “by-trustee-area” election system, which means that starting in 2022 each board member will be elected by one subdivided area within the district rather than the district at large.  The District is in the process of creating these subdivided areas, using demographic data from the 2020 census.  Part of this process involves gathering community input.  This survey is an opportunity for you to give feedback on the development of and will be taken into consideration as the Board of Education creates trustee-area boundaries.
