The challenges of these times are very real. How do we navigate the emotional upheaval that so often accompanies the grief, anger, and despair we feel in response to what’s happening in the world? Sadly, most of us were not offered the skills to navigate our emotions. We were taught to repress our ‘negative’ emotions and be happy. But ‘happy’ doesn’t always reflect what we feel inside. Suppressing our emotions can have negative impacts on our well-being, our health, our relationships, and even our livelihood.

The Work That Reconnects invites us to take a fresh look at what we see happening in the world around us. It beckons us to recognize and embrace the entirety of our truth, forming a foundation of gratitude upon which we can thrive. As we move through the phases of the Spiral of the Work–Gratitude, Honoring Our Pain for the World, Seeing with New Eyes, and Going Forth–we remember the value of our emotional landscape. By identifying our unique contribution to the world and connecting with our inner resources, we build our resilience which supports us in navigating these tumultuous times.

This six-week workshop, facilitated by Frieda Nixdorf, is offered in the spirit of generosity. In order to make these offerings viable and continue to offer this important work to those with less access to finances, I am asking a sliding scale payment between $120-$180. To reserve your spot in this series, please confirm with your payment via PayPal at friedalouise@gmail.com or via Venmo at Frieda-Nixdorf.

This workshop will be limited to 12 participants.

About Frieda:

Frieda is a WTR Facilitator, Purpose Guide®, Mentor and Educator. Her work is based on the premise that each of us is born with a purpose and a foundation of wisdom contained within. Most of us have lost sight of that truth, and our purpose lies dormant, waiting to be uncovered and offered to the world. Frieda inspires and empowers those she works with to reach beyond the traditional mentor/teacher experience to enable them to stretch themselves and reach their full potential through a broader understanding of the world. Through various self-exploration and earth-based practices, immersion in nature and a remembrance of the intricate web of life that surrounds us, Frieda’s clients uncover their truth, recognize their wholeness and hone the tools of resilience to claim and step into their power.

Frieda has a background in psychology, education and non-profit environmental work. She is an adjunct faculty member at John F. Kennedy University and staff mentor at Purpose Guides Institute. She has taught Eastern and Western Psychology with a focus on empowering students to connect with their true selves through the intersection of Psychology and the healing power of nature. Frieda is dedicated to protecting the environment, and does so through her own personal values as well as her non-profit work, where she provides consulting services to help others market themselves in their environmental efforts, grassroots political campaigns, and the healing arts. Frieda earned her BA in Religion and Visual Culture from UC Santa Cruz and an MA in Psychology from Meridian University. Frieda is also a certified yoga instructor and supports clients in identifying the connections between their physical and mental well-being through yoga, meditation and energy self-healing practices.
