APNET AfriFest: Call for Volunteers
We are looking for volunteers to perform small tasks for AfriFest. The success of this event depends on our dedicated volunteers. We cannot do it without you. This is a quick form just to grab some additional information from you, particularly the volunteer role(s) you are interested in.

WHAT:     AfriFest Cincy: Taste of Africa celebrates African cultures in the local community, builds awareness, and connects people. Our guests come together to celebrate unity in diversity. AfriFest is the largest African cultural event in the city. This family-friendly gathering occurs annually in the summer to celebrate Africa through cultural awareness, enhancing the community’s knowledge of the African cultures represented locally, and connecting individuals to resources in the community. AfriFest is a free event showcasing African Arts/cultures, food, entertainment, games, and other fun activities.

Please see below the AfriFest Volunteer Roles:
Set-up Team
Arrive the day of/before the event and help set up the tables and chairs in the resource tent, set up the field, hang signs, banners, and decorations, other logistics set up items.
Welcome Table
Help vendors set up and providing necessary materials. Promote APNET using brochures and other materials, T-Shirt sales; Encourage attendees to make a donation.
Fashion Show Models
Ready to walk the runway? Join our fashion show models. Our fashion designer has all the African designs/clothes/prints available.  Runway models wear a designer's or brand's clothes or merchandise during a fashion show. You will walk on a stage so the audience can see the clothes on a moving person.
Hospitality  for performance (Tent/Back Stage)
We will provided a tent for performances with water and snack.  You are responsible to welcome the performances, to provided with information about times of performances, direct them to stage at the time of the performance. keep the belonging safe and to keep the tent clean for the next performance. 
Cashier/ Alcohol Stand 
Responsible on receiving payment cash or by card for alcohol.
Clean-up Team
The Clean-Up Team is responsible for cleaning up the  event. Scan the entire area, throw away trash, and clean up any messes that might be present.
