Event Registration: 50 Years of (Partial) Freedom: Symposium to Celebrate the Life and Legacies of Raúl R. Salinas
November 2022 marks 50 years since the final release from prison of poet and revolutionary Raúl R. Salinas (raúlrsalinas) (1934-2008). An Austinite for most of his life, Salinas was a renowned poet, community organizer, prisoner and youth advocate, and intellectual of the Chicano Movement. Please join us at UT Austin on Friday, November 11, 2022 at the Benson Latin American Collection Conference Room at 1pm and at Resistencia Books on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 7pm (2000 Thrasher Lane 78741) as we celebrate collectively the legacy and impact of Raúl Salinas.
