Miss ORA Pageant Application

Dear Contestant,

Welcome to the 2023 Miss Ozark Rodeo Association Pageant. In this form you will find the application and rules and regulations for the pageant. We will be sending out a time schedule as soon as we know how many girls will be in the pageant. We will be judging the pageant on your horsemanship ability, appearance and personality, public speaking, and interview.

The lucky lady who wins the title will reign over the rodeos for the 2023 season and will help with the 2024 Miss ORA Pageant.

Age Divisions(As of January 1, 2023):

Miss: 17-26 (17 must be a senior in high school)

Teen: 14-17 (17 must be a junior in high school) 

Jr Miss: 11-13 

Little Miss: 7-10

The pageant will be held on April 14 & 15, 2023 in Mountain View, Missouri at Rockin RV Arena.

$75

Deadline: March 1, 2023
March 15, 2023 is the absolute last day to enter and add $15 late fee to entry

**There will be NO refunds given on entry fees**

Phases of Competition

HORSEMANSHIP: Horsemanship will include a set pattern. The horsemanship pattern will be available on the ORA wesbite. Following the pattern, you will speak with the judges in the arena for a horsemanship interview. Friday night performance of the ORA rodeo, you will be performing your queen's run and flag run presentation.

PERSONAL INTERVIEW: Each contestant will have a timed private interview with the panel of judges. Contestants will be asked questions off their application as well as rodeo and horse knowledge.

IMPROMPTU QUESTIONS: Each contestant will be asked two impromptu questions. 

APPEARANCE: Contestants will be judged on their overall appearance throughout the pageant.

PERSONALITY: Contestants will be judged on their overall Personality throughout the pageant. 

MODELING: This is NOT a judged portion of competition but a chance for you to show off your outfit of choice during the Public Speaking Event. 

WRITTEN TEST: The test will be over rodeo knowledge, horse knowledge, the Miss Ozark Rodeo Association Pageant, and the Ozark Rodeo Association Rulebook. *Miss/Teen ONLY*

PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARD: The people's choice award competition will be based off the number of votes each contestant receives. Voting will be announced after the deadline for applications. This award WILL NOT count towards your final score. 

PHOTOGENIC: Contestant must submit a digital photograph to be judged. Head and shoulder only. Must be vertical. This picture will also be featured in the program book. Western attire only. This will NOT count towards the final score. Please Email your headshot to oraqueenpageant@gmail.com

HIGH TICKET SALES: All contestants will be required to sell a minimum of $50 worth of raffle tickets. Whoever sells the most tickets past $50 out of all of the contestants will receive the award. This will NOT count towards the final score.

FAN FAVORITE AWARD: This award will be voted on by the spectators of the Ozark Rodeo Association Rodeo. The winner of this award is based on the contestant who receives the most money votes during the rodeo. This will NOT count towards the final score.
