2020-2021 Saint Peter Schools Back to School Survey
The COVID-19 pandemic is changing the face of education. Not only are we planning for the pandemic, we are also considering innovative ways we might leverage this opportunity to give our students and families a more flexible school experience that best fits their needs. On July 30, 2020 Governor Walz provided guidance and direction with the  MN SAFE LEARNING PLAN (https://mn.gov/covid19/for-minnesotans/safe-learning-plan/overview.jsp).  Saint Peter Schools has developed a Reopening plan for the 2020-21 school year which can be found on our website.

There are three instructional models included in the plan: In-person, Hybrid, and Distance Learning.  The model of learning we use is dependent upon the health of the community and the rate at which COVID is being spread in the counties we serve.

The three instructional models described in the Reopening Plan are:

In-Person Learning: Regular school day with modifications for social distancing, when feasible. This scenario may be implemented if state COVID-19 metrics continue to stabilize or improve.

Hybrid Learning: A unique combination of distance and in-person learning with a limited number of students in the building at one time to reduce the spread of illness.

Distance Learning: Similar to what we provided this spring, but improved upon based on all we have learned from students, families and staff experiences.

Based on current information from the counties we serve, Saint Peter Schools would be starting with Hybrid Learning at all levels.  This may be subject to change between the time of this survey and the start of school based on  data which is reviewed on an ongoing basis.

We understand that no matter which model is decided upon to start the school year, there will be families who may require or choose full-time distance learning at times or for a longer duration.  We are prepared to provide these services as well. We want to make sure that we are meeting the needs of students and families as our community, nation, and world continue to face this challenging time.

Please complete this survey as soon as possible to help guide us in our planning and decisions.
