2023-2024 Season: Performing Cheer Academy Audition Form
If your student loves to cheer and perform and is interested in more performance opportunities, we would love to have them audition to join our 2023-2024 Season Performing Cheer Academy! Our Cheer Academy Members will enjoy local performances throughout the season. Students will be under contract for the entirety of the 2023-2024 Season, with classes beginning this summer. 

We are holding a required Cheer Academy Intensive for our TT&T Thunders and Tornadoes the week of June 12-16th, 2023, from 9:00AM - 12:00PM daily. Summer Intensive will include daily stretch, strength, conditioning, and flexibility exercises. We will also work on tumbling, stunting and cheer jumps throughout the week. This week will kick off our *NEW* performance season and will include choreography for upcoming performances. The cost is $150 for the week with a $50 non-refundable deposit required to reserve your students spot in the intensive. The $50 deposit will be deducted from the $150 total for the week. The total balance must be paid in full by midnight EST on June 11, 2023 in order for a student to participate. Any team member not in attendance for the full intensive will not be cast in the choreography taught during this week.

Student's are also required to take a minimum of 2 summer classes (tumbling and hip hop or jazz) for their age/level during our 3-week Mini Session from June 12-30th, 2023. Cheer Academy Members will be required to have excellent behavior in class, be enrolled in Tumbling for their level as well as specific Cheer Academy classes, have regular attendance, and be able to attend scheduled performances throughout the season. *Tentative season schedule to be provided in Cheer Academy Contract - provided with audition results letter if selected to be a member of the team.

The audition will consist of a cheer workshop class to warm up and teach movement to the cheerleaders. A short cheer sequence will be taught to the class then the class will be divided into small groups to perform the sequence in front of the panel of judges. Students are evaluated from the moment they enter the studio room for the audition. Our judging panel is evaluating each student on behavior, enthusiasm, technical ability, how quickly they are able to learn and repeat movements, performance quality and overall attitude.

All students ages 5+ (*age as of audition) may audition for the 2023-2024 Tip Toes and Taps Cheer Academy.

Upon acceptance as a Cheer Academy Member, you will be required to sign the Cheer Academy Contract, as well as take all mandatory classes, including summer classes, starting this summer.    
 
For the audition, please wear cheer shoes or tennis shoes and form fitting athletic clothing that you are able to easily move in, with the hair secured back and out of the face.

Anyone interested in auditioning must submit this form and pay their $25 Audition Fee NO LATER THAN Friday, May 5, 2023 by midnight EST. Once you submit your audition form you will be invoiced, via your parent portal, for your non-refundable $25.00 audition fee, which must be paid to secure your students place in the audition class.

     5:00-5:45pm – Intermediate/Advanced Composition (evaluation or pre-approval required)

     5:45-6:45pm – Intermediate/Advanced Ballet (evaluation or pre-approval required)

     6:45-7:30pm – Intermediate/Advanced Jazz Funk (evaluation or pre-approval required)

     7:30-8:15pm – Intermediate/Advanced Lyrical/Contemporary (evaluation or pre-approval required)
