Registration
Musical Expressions Academy maintains an ongoing registration throughout the year when there is space available.

In the summer, I can increase my availability for students who are on the waitlist or if anyone who only wants  summer lessons. Summer schedule changes are to be dated at the end of May of each consecutive year.
Classroom Guidelines
  • Bring books/materials and instruments (except piano students) to every session.
  • Communicate kindly.
  • Use all room equipment properly.
  • Practice is required and essential to your success
  • Ask musical questions!
Fees
Our billing cycle is based on 4 weeks starting from the student's first enrollment day. Occasionally within the calendar year there will be some months with 5 classes. During those months, tuition will be $150.00 to cover that 5th class. If the instructor is out of town or chooses to use that 5th lesson of the month as a teacher planning day you will be notified and will not be charged the $30 for that session.

If you plan on taking a break during the summer but wish to keep your regular day/time upon your return in August, you have the option to pay a holding fee at the end of May. The holding fee will be half of your monthly tuition for each student for the amount of months your student will be absent. 

Please note that holding fees are not mandatory. If you choose not to continue lessons during the summer, you can register again in the fall. However, please be aware that there is a risk of not being able to secure the same day/time of lessons as you did during the academic school year. Payments
I charge on a monthly basis and I accept Venmo, Paypal, Cash App, Apple Pay, or Cash.

Digital payment fees' per provider:
Paypal - Invoice $6 or Business Transaction $3
Venmo - $0
Cash app- $0
Apple Pay - $0

**All cash payments will be given a receipt**

Tuition is due every 4 weeks. Any late payments made will incur a $15 late fee and assume the risk of withdrawal from the studio.

**Personal payment plans will no longer be adjusted due to a missed class.

If there ever is a time where when payment becomes a struggle, please contact me to discuss a payment plan. Payment plans are limited and cannot be excessively used/offered.

There are no refunds issued by Musical Expressions Academy except for immediate dismissal purposes due to behavior, attendance, and/or failure of payment. 

You can stop services at any time but please be kind to communicate two to four weeks ahead of time. I would appreciate your thoughtfulness!

Missed Class(es)
Due to the teacher's limited availability, makeup lessons cannot be guaranteed for any class you or your child miss. To request a makeup make-up class fill out the form at the following link.

There is a two-week time frame in which you can make up a class if there is availability in the teacher's schedule. After two weeks, all make-up lesson requests will be denied and no make-up lesson will be rendered. 

As the studio fills up, make-up lessons may discontinue due to a lack of teacher availability. I will update studio participants as soon as that issue arises. From then on, no make-up classes will be offered as you are reserving a time slot for lessons whether or not the student is in attendance. 
Extreme Weather or Illness
Cancellations of in-person classes due to bad weather, dangerous driving conditions, or contagious illnesses will be made up as an online option only on the same day/time as the students regularly scheduled class session. Click the link to join your regularly scheduled lesson via Zoom, here:

**If you choose not to do an online option for the makeup option no other made-up class in any form will be offered.**
Health & Safety
Students may not participate in classes while contagiously sick or presumingly knowing they have been exposed to someone with covid. 

Students with flu symptoms, ear infections, pink eye, lice, whooping cough, ringworm, etc, cannot attend class. 

If you or your child was not able to attend school/work due to illness they also cannot attend class for music lessons.

If the student has a cold or allergies with mild to persistent cough symptoms please wear a facial mask to class. If you do not have one, one will be provided in class. Wearing a mask will help decrease the spread of illnesses.

Specific Restrictions:

Covid: Please follow CDC guidelines on the prevention of spreading the illness to others.

Antibiotic:  Students must be on an antibiotic for a total of 24 hours before returning to class.

Fever: Students must be 24 hours fever free (less than 100 degrees) without the use of medicine before returning to class. 

Lice: Students may not return to class until they are free of lice and nits.

This is asked for the wellness of my myself, my family, and other students. I appreciate your cooperation in keeping yourself and everyone else safe!

**If at any time the instructor or her household has been exposed to the information stated above. All lessons will be temporarily online until feeling better and noncontagious.**

Studio Cleanliness
We sanitize the keyboard and piano bench before and after each lesson and provide students with cleansing wipes or hand sanitizer.
Class Removal/Dismissal 
At any time, the teacher has the right to end classes permanently with a student or family due to disrespectful behavior in the form of arguing, disrespectful communications from parent to teacher, or inappropriate/destructive use of equipment in the studio room by the student.
