Jim McCeney is remembered for his commitment to our community, to Laurel’s history, and to making Laurel a better place. He holds a special place for the Laurel Historical Society, where he served as President, Treasurer and Chairman of the Board.

This year we are holding our 6th annual "McCeney March" through Historic Laurel in his honor to raise funds for scholarships given in his name to students interested in history. Jim walked 3 miles a day for many years and we will be walking along some of his favorite routes during our fundraising walk.

The 2021 McCeney March will take place Saturday, September 25, 2021.
The Walk begins at 11:00 am at the Laurel Museum at 817 Main Street, Laurel, MD 20707.
