Black American Portraits Tour Lottery
On-site tours of Black American Portraits will take place at 10 am, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays, beginning on February 17. Morning and afternoon tours on select Wednesdays are also available.

Students will have exclusive access to the exhibitions during the tour, which will take place before the museum opens to the public. Capacity is limited to 48 students per day and six chaperones, including teachers, are required. Covid-19 protocols will be in place. All visitors must wear masks and a temperature check will be required upon arrival.  Teachers and chaperones will need to show proof of vaccination and photo ID upon arrival at the museum.

Daily virtual tours will take place at 11 am from Monday, February 7 to Friday, February 25, as part of a pilot program.  Pending the successful completion of the pilot program, we will continue to offer virtual tours from Monday, March 7 to Friday, April 8. Virtual tours will last 60 minutes and can accommodate up to 60 students.

To enter the lottery, please complete the form below no later than 12 noon on Tuesday, February 1. Teachers are welcome to request both in-person and virtual tours, and multiple dates for more chances to be considered, but will only be awarded one tour date. Teachers will be notified of their tour placement by the end of the day on Thursday, February 3.
