Central Florida Pole Vault Sleep Away Camp
4 days, 3 nights, 6 vault sessions of pole vault specific training: pole tech, sprint tech, plant drills, pool drills, long-short approach, meet style jumping, athlete mentality, gymnastics, inversion drills. Nutrition, how to eat, what to eat, recovery, wellness. 2 yoga and breath work sessions taught by certified Hatha yoga teacher. 2 beach trips- surfing, skim boarding, boogie boarding.

Skypolevaulter Elite Athlete 2024 Members:
-2024 members will get 3 days priority sign up for camp.

Scholarship:
Skypolevaulter was able to give 1 camp, and 10 pole rentals with the donations from 2023. If you are interested in supporting an athlete to go to camp you can venmo @myskyscholarships. This money will only go to athletes that have applied through our scholarship application and will go towards poles during the season and camp during the off season. Details:
• This is a 5 acre property curated for pole vault training, nature loving fun! There is 1 house, 2 cabins, 2 compostable toilets, 3 outdoor showers, 4 giant tee pees, double sided pit with a raised runway, and a pole barn.
• Pole vault: Pole tech, pole drills, pool drills, long-short approach, meet style jumping, athlete mentality, gymnastics, inversion drills. Nutrition, how to eat, what to eat, recovery, wellness. Yoga and breath work taught by certified hatha yoga teacher. New addition! Surf lesson taught by Sensei Joven - Pura Vida.
• $500 deposit required to reserve your spot (Venmo: @skypolevaulter or check)
• You will receive $350 of deposit back if you decide to cancel your spot up to 2 weeks before camp
• Cape Canaveral National Seashore – surf boards and paddle boards provided. Bring your board if you have one!
• Yoga - please bring a yoga mat and a towel if you have one. 
-Please understand these camps fill up quickly and we have waiting list for kids wanting to come. The $500 deposit is non-refundable after 14 days prior to camp. We now have to implement a 2 week cancellation window- if you cancel after 14 days before camp you will only receive a 50% refund. These funds go to the gear, supplies & food pre-purchased for camp.

Sleeping arrangements:
-1-2 giant girl tee pee
-1-2 giant boy tee pee
-AC unit and space heater provided in each tent

What to bring:
-Pole vault poles if you want to use your own (We have 500+ ESSX poles to use during camp. Option to rent poles after camp)
-Running shoes/ sneakers
-Spikes (if you have them, not necessary)
-Shoes that can get wet & muddy in case it rains (Mari & Sean wear Xtra Tuffs on the property)
-Athletic clothes
-Bathing suit
-Towel
-Water bottle (PLEASE BRING A LARGE WATER BOTTLE TO BE REFILLED)
-Sunscreen (PLEASE BRING ZINC SUNSCREEN OR SWEAT PROOF SUNSCREEN)
-Bug spray (We spend majority of the camp outside)
-Flashlights/ headlamps (There is little light pollution for great star gazing)
-Pillow
-Blanket
-Tent (if you would prefer to use your own tent)
-Air mattress/Cot/ Sleeping Pad
-Yoga Mat

Optional:
-Glow Vault Clothing (neon/white/colorful clothing that you don't mind getting glow paint on)
-Fans
-Camping gear for tee pee
-Additional snacks drinks they may want to have (Be mindful that open snacks bring ants in the tee pee)
