Crystal Cave Behind the Scenes
Join us on an unforgettable underground adventure through Crystal Cave. On this stewardship tour of Crystal Cave you will assist the cave staff in opening up Crystal Cave. You will walk down the trail with your guide learning about the history of the area and help to open up the trail for the day. When participants arrive inside of the cave they will look for invertebrates inside the cave, make sure all lights are working, and learn about the efforts that go into stewarding and operating Crystal Cave.

CRYSTAL CAVE WHITE-NOSE SYNDROME PROTOCOL: White-nose syndrome is a fungal disease killing bats in North America. It has had the most impact in the eastern half of the United States and in Canada, killing millions of bats. The disease has now been detected in California. People can spread the fungus from one cave to another as it can be carried by shoes, clothing, or gear. If you have visited caves in other parts of the country, you must not wear the same clothing or equipment when visiting Crystal Cave. Learn more about how to help bats threatened by white-nose syndrome.   *
