This introductory outing will guide you through how using technology can build science skills, connect you with nature and make you a citizen scientist! During our fun and interactive program, you will learn how to use citizen science applications, identify local birds and connect with your family and friends during this great outdoor activity! The YYC Young Citizen Scientists program inspires participants to take environmental action, knowing that their actions make a real-world difference.

Participants are asked to bring their own binoculars. However, a limited (sanitized) supply will be provided by CPAWS as well. Participants are recommended to bring their smartphones and have the choice to download and create an account with the following citizen science applications prior to the program for extra fun!
