Building Trades Spring 2021 After School Program

Thank you for your interest in the After School Building Trades 1 course.

Students will begin this class on Monday, March 1, and will run Monday-Friday, 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM through March 26. Quite a lot of material is being covered during this time, so please have students to the school a few minutes early. They are required to attend every session in order to receive credit. We have a waitlist, so please let us know if this is not possible for you, as we are giving priority to students who can commit to the attendance policy.

The class will meet at Kate Collins Middle School at 1625 Ivy St. Students will enter via the Technology Lab doors at the rear of the school. You can pick up your student at 6:00 PM at the same location. During week 3, we will transport students to the VCTC campus in Fishersville and return them to KCMS for pickup at 6:15 PM.

Week 1: OSHA and safety training
Week 2: Intro to Electric
Week 3: Intro to Masonry
Week 4: Intro to Carpentry

We will follow the WPS Mask Requirements and policies. Students will be screened upon arrival using the current protocol.
