Absence Report
All students who miss school must provide an absence report from the parent.  Any student that does not provide such verification will be marked as unexcused absent for the dates missed.  
Please complete the form below to report a student absence, including absences due to a Pursuit or an Excused absence reason, per the Wake County School Board Policy Code 4400 Attendance.

This form must be submitted from a parent email address. If submitting a hard copy attendance form, please email the form to Jennifer Wilkerson, jwilkerson@wcpss.net.

Absences due to a pursuit must be submitted at least three days prior to the absence to be coded as excused and have seat time reduced.  If the form is NOT submitted at least three days prior to the pursuit absence, seat time will NOT be reduced. 

Absences due to illness or another excused reason should be submitted within two days from the return to school to be coded as excused and have seat time reduced.

Please note that pursuit and absence forms should be submitted when a student will miss a FLEX class, and as a result, will not meet their required seat time for the week. Since we do not have class on Fridays, a pursuit form may not be needed, especially since the student should have met their seat time during the M-Th classes. Seat time will only be adjusted if the pursuit absence occurs on days that FLEX classes are in session.
