What is the Teen Leadership Council?
The Teen Leadership Council is a community service program that trains and supports high school students to become ambassadors and advocates who work together to help prevent abuse and promote respect in all relationships throughout our community.  We help foster awareness about the dynamics of both abusive and healthy relationships, and train students about safe, effective and appropriate intervention strategies through fun and meaningful activities.
How long is the program?
Teen Leaders commit to an intensive training and leadership development program for a minimum of 8 weeks, with training sessions and special events.  Students have the opportunity to create and implement special projects (workshop, media outreach, event, video, fundraiser, survey etc.) Workshops meet remotely via Zoom and Google Classroom.

Where does the program meet?
The Retreat Teen Leadership Council meets online via Zoom or Google Classroom. We can also coordinate with your school or community group to host programs online or in-person.
Do I earn community service hours?
Yes! Students can earn community service credit hours upon successful completion of each training session of the program.  Additional community service hours are awarded for extended independent projects and participation in additional sessions.

Is this program open to everyone?
Yes!  All high school students are welcome to participate!
