Survey - Assessing the contribution of civil society and building owners/occupants to climate change adaptation

Thank you for considering participating in this survey by the Adaptation Working Group of the GlobalABC.

Context:
In 2023, the Adaptation Working Group of the GlobalABC will produce a report on the Evaluation of Contribution to Climate Change Adaptation of all stakeholders along the value chain of the Buildings and Construction sector.
To assess the contribution of civil society and building owners/occupants, the group needs to conduct a short survey.

The survey will address the framework and consideration of adaptation in their practices, missions, decisions, dialogues, operations, projects, aid programs, development programs, advocacy, regarding buildings and the construction value chain, and the levers specific to civil society and building owners/ occupants in adapting to climate change.

Goal:
We aim to understand how civil society and building owners/ occupants integrate adaptation to climate change into their own practices, missions, decisions, consultations, operations, projects, aid programs, development programs, advocacy:
  • what processes are in place;
  • how they monitor their own progress;
  • set their own goals; and
  • what metrics they use to monitor their contribution to climate change adaptation.

Target audience: Non-governmental and non-profit associations, building owners, condominium managers, condominium syndicates, union councils, social landlords, tenants' associations, merchants' associations, merchant managers and landlords who own the business, integrating climate change adaptation into their practices, missions, decisions, operations, operating guarantees, projects, aid programs, development programs, advocacy.

Output:
Answers will be anonymised. A feedback summary of the results of this survey will be communicated to respondents in June and its findings will serve as the basis for the redaction of the relevant part of our report to be published in November.
