UH LGBTQ Alumni Network Experience
The UH LGBTQ Alumni Network Board is a working board and is 100% run by our board volunteers to support our University of Houston campus partners and city.

This means the commitment is a significant one that also reaps major benefits including:

1. Staying connected to the UH and LGBTQ+ community
2. Meeting UH alums from other majors and years
3. Leadership development - great opportunity to build your resume with concrete skills
4. Supporting current and future LGBTQ+ students at the University of Houston

If you apply and are selected for the board, please expect to meet the following expectations:

1. Attend monthly board meetings and committee calls as needed
2. Ensure completion of tasks assigned to your committee (see below) in collaboration with your committee co-chairs (if applicable) or ask for board support if unable to complete tasks
3. Promote fundraising efforts for UH LGBTQ+ students with emergency aid and scholarships
4. Support the execution of Red Dinner (help chairs with speakers, venues, food, promotion, etc.)
5. Donate or raise $50 towards UH LGBTQ Alumni Association for scholarships or emergency aid (This is a recommendation and not a requirement if financial barriers exist.)
6. Serve as an ambassador of the University and UH Alumni Association
