Help us save the Regent Theatre which goes under the hammer at the mortgagee auction on 26th March 2021.

The Revive the Regent Theatre Mudgee Inc is an incorporated entity that is registered as a not for profit charity. It has a right under its incorporation to purchase property. We are urgently seeking members of the Community to pledge a sum so the purchase of the Regent becomes possible.

MWRC has not supported a motion proposed by Councillor Russell Holden, voted on Wednesday 19th February, to investigate the feasibility to purchase the theatre and allocate funds for this purpose.

It was proposed at the Revive the Regent meeting held on Saturday 15th February 2020, decided by a majority show of hands, that RTRTM Inc instigate a system of Pledges within the community to raise the sum of $600,000 from the local community.

Persons, Organisations and Companies are being asked to pledge or give a sum that could be called upon if the RTRTM Inc was the successful bidder at auction. It would also be important that RTRTM Inc make the necessary arrangement with a number of Pledges, that at the fall of the auction hammer, there were the necessary funds available to immediately pay the 10% deposit (up to $60,000).
