The "pilot" booster grant program is being rolled out for the fall/winter/spring team for the 23/24 school year as a way to say, "thank you" to all the volunteers who have provided support in staffing the concession stand and spirit shop. We recognize it takes work to get shifts covered consistently. The coverage has contributed to significant profit for Boosters which allows us to give back the athletic teams. Please know this is an evolving and process improvement program that is not in completion.
This overall goal of the grant program is to invest in the athletic teams with expectations that it would impact as many players if not the entire team. For the 2023/2024 school year the maximum grant amount is $500. The fund can be used by the coaches for what they deem to be useful for their sport. Think training, equipment, team equipment (bags, jackets, uniform accessories, etc) that can be reused for years to come. We also encourage teaming up with a parallel sport to purchase items that could benefit both teams. If nothing else, team gear is acceptable. The grant may not be used for food or team dinners.
Applications can be submitted at anytime, with "pilot" grant awards being fulfilled within 30 days of submission. Going forward we will have set distribution dates, we working on specific dates and timing. If your timing is different, please email boosters@rrcs.org and we will do our best to work as quickly as we can to approve or work with you on your need.
The following are the qualifications to receive the grant funds:
- All concession shifts are covered by team volunteers during the regular season with volunteers covering 100% of the assigned time
- Concession shifts are covered during any post season events at RR stadium
- If concessions are not offered during team events, volunteers can be assigned to provide coverage of the spirit store or Booster events.
- Each sport is asked to work at the concessions, events or team shop.
Boosters will make the purchase and/or payment for your organization/team. This cannot be used on already purchased items.
