במסאפר יטא שבדרום הר חברון חיות מאות משפחות שנאבקות יומיום על הזכות הבסיסית ביותר להתקיים בשקט ובבטחון במרחב החיים שלהן, באיזור שהצבא הכריז עליו כ״שטח אש 918." מאז ההכרזה בתחילת שנות ה80, התושבים חיים תחת איום של הריסות, פינויים ונישול יומיומי. המשפחות במסאפר יטא מאבדות גישה לאדמותיהם, לכבישים, למקורות מים, לבתי ספר, לשירותים רפואיים ולבתי חולים. זאת בנוסף לאלימות המתנחלים, איתה הן מתמודדות על בסיס יומי.

גורלו של האזור עומד בסימן שאלה משפטי, ותושביו מחכים לדיון שיכריע את עתידם. הדיון אמור להתקיים ב15 במרץ. אם בג״ץ יחליט לאשר את גירוש התושבים, יהיה זה אחד הגירושים הגדולים והבולטים ביותר שתבצע מדינת ישראל בעשורים האחרונים, תקדים משפטי לגירושים נוספים ברחבי הגדה המערבית, ועליית מדרגה נוספת במדיניות האפרטהייד והסיפוח.

אנו לא יכולים להרשות לעצמנו שתיקה ועמידה מנגד אל מול הגירוש שמבצעת המדינה בשמנו.

הסיור שיתקיים ב8 למרץ, שבוע לפני הדיון, נועד לאפשר לכולנו ללמוד יותר על מאבק הקהילות על מנת שנוכל לעמוד איתן ולצידן במהלך הדיון בבית המשפט ואחריו. בסיור נעמיק בסוגיית שטח האש ונרחיב על ההקשר הרחב בו היא ממוקמת – הקשר של פרקטיקות רבות ומגוונות שמפעיל הצבא והמדינה לגירוש פלסטינים מאדמתם לטובת חיזוק התיישבות יהודית בשטח.

הסיור לדרום הר חברון בהדרכת חיילים וחיילות ששברו שתיקה על השירות בשטחים חושף את חוסר הצדק שבמציאות הכיבוש בה נדרשו לקחת חלק.

בהתאם לעמידה בלוחות הזמנים ותיאום מול גורמים מקומיים, מסלול הסיור כולל:

תצפית מחוות לוציפר מזרחה אל אדמות הכפרים ג'ינבה, גריטן ושטחי האימונים של בסיס קריות, ומערבה אל סוסיא הפלסטינית והיהודית.
תצפית ממאחז אביגיל אל הכפר א-טוואנה, מאחז חוות מעון, אדמות הכפר חרובא והדרך המחברת בין הכפר חירבת טובא לבית הספר של א-טוואנה.
תצפית מעל שטח האש 918 והסבר מעמיק על המאבק השמפטי של תושבי הכפרים הנמצאים באזור

נגישות - במהלך הסיור נתנייד עם אוטובוס וניסע למיקומים שונים ברחבי מסאפר יטא. בשלבים שונים בסיור, נרד מהאוטובוס וננוע מרחק קצר על דרכים שאינן סלולות לכיוון התחנות השונות. אם יש לך שאלות על איך ניתן להנגיש את הסיור לצרכי הנגישות שלך, בבקשה צרי\צור קשר וננהל על זה שיחה!

הסיור צפוי להתנהל בעברית. אם יהיה ביקוש גדול לסיור באנגלית אז נשלח עדכונים בהתאם על מנת לענות על הצורך הזה.
 

In Massafer Yatta, an area in the South Hebron Hills, hundreds of families in Massafer Yatta are at risk of being forcibly displaced from an area the Israeli military has declared “Firing Zone 918.” Since the declaration in the 80s, residents have lived under the daily threat of demolitions, evictions, and dispossession. Families in Masafer Yatta are denied access to their land, roads, sources of water, schools, medical services, and hospitals. This is in addition to nearly daily violence from settlers in the region.

The fate of the area remains unclear, as residents await a court ruling which will determine their futures. A crucial hearing in the case is due to take place on March 15th, in the Supreme Court. If the Supreme Court decides to permit the expulsion of residents, it will be one of the largest expulsions carried out by the State of Israel in recent decades, an alarming precedent that could lead to further expulsions across the West Bank, and a further escalation of Israel’s policies of annexation and Apartheid.

We must not stand by quietly as the State evicts entire communities.

The educational tour that is set to take place on March 8th, a week before the hearing, is meant to allow us to learn more about the struggle of the communities in Massafer Yatta, so that we can all stand alongside them during, and following, the hearing. In the tour, we will learn more about the issue of the Firing Zone, and place it in context. We will learn about the countless other ways in which the military and the state work to dispossess Palestinians from their homes and strengthen Israeli settlements in the area.
 
The tour to the South Hebron Hills, led by soldiers who broke the silence on their service in the territories, reveals the injustices of the realities of the occupation in which they took part.

Please note that we ask for NIS 50 per person to cover the cost of transportation and printed material (If you are unable to pay this fee we'd love for you to still join the tour!)

Please bring a valid passport and enough water and food for a full-day trip.

NOTE: THERE IS NO PLACE TO BUY FOOD DURING THE TOUR

We will have a bathroom break on the way there and way back

Please bring appropriate clothing for walking depending on the season - it is very cold this time of year and you should dress accordingly!

The bus is not armored

Participation in the tours recommended for the age of 16 and above.

Accessibility: In the tour we will go by bus to several locations in the Massafer Yatta area. We will get off the bus at various points and move on unpaved roads to the various tour-stops. THE TOUR WILL BE IN HEBREW. However, if there will be a high demand for a tour in English, then we will keep you posted around whether we are able to accommodate this need.
