POST-PONED. Monash–UCSD Bacteriophage Symposium, Melbourne.
PLEASE NOTE: We have postponed this meeting, which was scheduled to take place on the 30th of March, due to the on-going COVID19 situation. We are planning to move this event online, but currently do not have a date set for this.

The Symposium will have a strong focus on phage therapy and its clinical translation, but will also have a talks on bacterial pathogenesis, fundamental phage biology and antibiotic resistance.

We are also pleased to announce that the Symposium will have plenary presentations from Prof. Robert 'Chip' Schooley and A/Prof. Saima Aslam from the Center for Innovative Phage Applications and Therapeutics (iPATH), at the University California, San Diego. We have a number of invited speakers from Australia, as well as a panel discussion that will broach phage therapy, its challenges and potential in combating the antimicrobial resistance.

The Symposium will be free of charge, but registrations will be required for venue and catering purposes. Finally there will be a small number of 12min talks and posters that will be selected from abstract submissions.

We'd encourage you all to consider attending and to please share the event with any students, colleagues or other interested parties. We look forward to hosting you in Melbourne.

Sincerely,
Jeremy Barr & Jian Li.
