Application for CABANA Workshop: Analysis of Crop Genomics Data, 16-20 Mar 2020
This course will introduce crop biologists to methods and approaches for analysing crop genomics data for genotyping. During the course participants will learn about genotyping experimental design, variant calling, comparative genomics using Ensembl, analyse variation data with Ensembl Variant Effect Predictor and the European Variation Archive and explore concepts of genome wide association studies (GWAS).

This workshop will be delivered in English, however all our trainers are fluent Spanish speakers and can offer support where needed.

Date and venue: The workshop will take place between 16-20 March 2020 at Universidad de Los Andes, Bogota, Colombia.

Applications are open for researchers based in Latin America only.

The GCRF-funded CABANA project (http://www.cabana.online) is delighted to offer partial travel fellowships of up to GBP ~£200 for researchers to attend the workshop. The fellowships are open to scientists at any stage of their career. Early-stage researchers and researchers from underrepresented groups are especially encouraged to apply.
